Seriously. What the fuck?
He owes over €1bn, his assets are barely worth 1/3 of that by all accounts, and they want to give him more money? Anglo Irish Bank, owned by the state, financed with our money, wants to lend him more?
They’re using the bail out to bail out the kind of cunt who brought about the need for a bail out.
This country is fucking stupid.

As pointed out in the comments of the previous post by Morgor and Amsterdamaged:
SOME senior staff at Anglo Irish Bank who borrowed millions from the bank to buy properties and shares are now unable to repay the loans, the lender’s executive chairman revealed yesterday.
Donal O’Connor said the bank had written off these loans to senior staff and directors and they would now have to be repaid by the taxpayer.
Pardon me?
This has somewhat spoiled my good mood, I have to say. Not only are our taxes expected to get us out of the financial mess this government has left us in, they’re expected to pay of the debts of greedy Anglo Irish Bank workers.
How is this even possible? Why are we footing the bill for other people’s greed? For their speculation and profiteering?
I’m absolutely open to other people’s expertise on this but I’m assuming this is because we nationalised Anglo Irish Bank. What would have happened if we’d let it go bust?
Would the consequences really have been much worse than this?
