Trundling onwards

Interesting headline in today’s Irish Times:

Greens will not be ‘found wanting for ethics’

This is according to Mary White, deputy leader of the party that has ensured the country will be bankrupted by NAMA and has propped up the most corrupt, useless administration in Irish history.

Mary White could get a job as a headline writer, for sure:

‘Jews have nothing to fear’ – Hitler

Local man Josef Fritzl lifts lid on child rearing success

Chelsea captain reinvents concept of monogamy

Pol Pot on course to make country great again

Mary Coughlan to create 500 jobs as new PR team for An Tánaiste announced

Still, the Greens should be thanked for ensuring we haven’t spent the last couple of days wittering on about a couple of stupid letters instead of concentrating on the real issues.

Oh.

Jim’s post on OTR is well worth a read. So what next? Will someone have been found to have used their position as TD to get a free pint in their local or a discount at their local carwash? These are matters of great national importance and until we sort these out then we have no hope of fixing the big problems.

Rarely with the Chelsea digs but seeing as John Terry is playing like a guy who is quite spent due to overshagging then I feel it’s fair enough. Turned inside out last night.

as someone pointed out the mixed signals Chelsea players are getting

Ashley Cole – Fined €400,000 (for chagging about a bit

John Terry – Holiday in Dubai (forcing England team-mates wife to get an abortion)

  5. Healthy sceptic says:

The Greens are corrupt. They are only posturing to get into power. The Irish Labour Party did this – and still do. The Progressive Democratic Party did it also.

It is just an act. Which unfortunately works. Strangely enough Fianna Fail are the only ones who cannot be accussed of hypocrisy. They carry on as if corruption is an essential part of being a political party.

    Ex-Green Voter

    Hello Mary,

As a North County Dubliner I’ve voted Green in every election, I was sold when Patricia McKenna put her home on the line during her Supreme Court appeal with regard to equal funding for referendum votes.

I literally fell off my seat when the greens sold their soul and went into goverenment with the most corrupt bunch of gangsters this country has ever seen. (As you probably know North County Dublin is infested with gangsters – the likes of The Haugheys – The Don; Ray Burke who went to jail and GV Wright who took 2 grand from Frank Dunlop and lodged it into his wife’s bank account.) I could go on, and on, and on, and on about how corrupt the party you are now propping up has wrecked the political system but I’d be here all day.

Here is how the greens are seen and regarded by me, by my friends, by any criteria of ABCs. ABC 1′s or whatever other group you will be trying to get votes from; there’s some colourful language but nothing that your “little green heart” won”t be able to handle.

It’s very heartening for me to think that you willing to help run the country into a brick wall for the good of us all.

    Rgds,

When I wrote a stroppy letter to Cherie Blair at no 10 within a week the Revenue wrote to me asking for more money. Oddly enough the same thing happened when I wrote to Frank Field MP. Coincidence ?

  15. itchybollix says:

Cherie Blair does like money maggot. And religion. Frank Field. What the fuck are you writing to him for? Looking for the name of his script writer?

  16. maggot says:

T’was back in the days when Field was reviewing the CSA Itchy. It was interesting – although I wrote to the Blair Witch in her private capacity as Barrister , I got a reply on official no 10 notepaper, very naughty.

  17. itchybollix says:

Cherie, the flaky fuck, always reminds of that hilarious comment from Ray Parlour to Eileen Drewery, Gleen Hoddles Mystic Meg. Hoddle insisted that all his england players had a “one-on-one” with his angel-loving friend Eileen Drewery. When Eileen told Ray to sit down in a chair and then proceeded to place her hands on his head to feel his vibes Parlour said to her ” Short back and sides please Eileen, bit off the top.”

It cost him his place in the england squad. Shows you what a flaky cunt Hoddle is.

  18. Crank says:

Great post Twenty. Mary White should never be allowed to speak about anything anywhere ever.

And come the next election, I’m sure we, the voters, can arrange that.

  19. maggot says:

  20. Will you lead us Twenty?

seriously though: when music journos start writing about political action, you’ve got to pay attention. He’s right of course: not only do elected reps have a grave insecurity about their jobs, enough of us demand less and less of them every day.

I’d say the recession has damaged their expectations Sam ? There was a report the other day that land valued in the boom years at €31 million is now worth €0.6 million. That is a big dampener, a bit like the end of prohibition.

Is this administration more corrupt than the Charlie Haughie admin?

    Yes
Willie O’Dea – a solicitor, swore a false affidavit and was backed up in this endeavour by The Taoiseach, a solicitor. Backed up by The Minister for Finance, a solicitor. Backed up by The Minister for Finance, a solicitor. The 3 most important Ministers in the regime supported Willie O’Dea knowing the gravity of what he did and knowingly betting on the fact that most people don’t care and/or don’t understand. And the greens have no excuse for supporting the government on that vote.

This regime also took Beverly Cooper-Flynn back into their party. She advised people on how to evade paying tax, lost a libel case, didn’t pay her libel bill and swans around with a Gucci bag worth a couple of thousand quid. (I’ve seen it)

This bunch of cunts are worse than the Haughey bunch of cunts.

You have to blame the cunts who vote for them.

  24. Yippee says:

It’s the arrogance of them all that gets me, they’ve all been caught fiddling and breaking the law, numerous times, lying through their teeth as a matter of course, everyone knows they’re all cheats and liars, and yet they believe that if they brazen it out long enough, they’ll get away with it!

Please tell me that’s not going to happen, as I have one hand on the gas knob, and I’m not afraid to use it!

    We are where we are.
And none of us have a paddle.
Thank fuck it’s a long way to Tipperary.

  27. maggot says:

I’d be ashamed to admit that I could recognise a Gucci bag.

  28. itchybollix says:

It was one of those really big bags Peadar. You know the ones that can fit in types of books like – “How to live a moral life by paying your taxes” and “How to work for Northern Bank and tell customers how to evade paying tax and break the law”. and “How to get caught breaking the law and still get elected by the Mayo public”

    That kind of bag.

  29. The Mowl says:

She uses it to carry her big balls around.

Isn’t that what the Minister for Justice Mick McDowell was alluding to HM when he said in the dail, ” I know what I know”. Or was that when he went after Frank Connolly? Des O’Malley has a lot to answer for.
