Imagine that you are outraged by the latest news about the rapists in the catholic church, and then imagine that you decide to send your kid(s) to another school. That is already a huge amount of hassle, right? And maybe not even possible 'till next year'. Continue ad nauseum. The parents need to remove their kids en massse and in one go from the schools. I was brought up as Christian but kept away from the clregy. As I child I did attend masses, with my grandparents, but stopped when they both died. My parents were raised in strong Christian tradition, but since their marriage was annuled (yep, annuled, with all the paperwork and pope's signature of approval) they were not allowed to parttake in any of the sacraments so they didn't go at all. My mother wanted to protect me from brainwashing so I didn't attend religion classes. Now, that I know what was going on at the time, I am not surprised. While I know nothing about any abuse cases, I do know priests and nuns who openly said that they should get us when we're young and flexible to mould us as their wish. This happens everywhere all the time. You wonder why the clergy wants to be in the schools? It's not really about the abuse. Each of the so called 'teachers' have been trained in psychology and manipulation techniques - they are there to make sure you will be submitted to the Church. For the "greater good" one abused and destroyed life for hundreds of 'moulded' children is just collateral damage. This is why they covered it all up. This is why nobody knew or didn't want to speak about it. The parents were the ones who were already brainwashed. The church need the abusers for their unique 'skills', just so that they can brainwash more people. I saw it with my own two eyes in a classroom that I was lured into at the age of 16. Unfortunately since I was not brainwashed from early age I saw right trough what was happening and never came back. Protect your children. Keep them away from priests and nuns. Let them choose what they believe in - maybe that's a much more uncertain life, but isn't it better to think on your own?
