Give all politicians a max. wagepacket of 30k a year + some bonuses for achieving results. That’ll weed all the ‘career politicians’ out and keep the ones who sincerely, genuinely want to improve this country in. I’m sick and fucking tired of seeing a bunch of pointless empty suits looking after numero uno and trying to cloak it with some bullshit statement on how their greed and stupidity is what the country or the people need.. One day I’m giving up on this polititics thing, i really am.

So this Mary White equates Lincoln’s stance on slavery with the government’s fighting an economic recession for which they themselves were largely responsible? Jesus, if you’re going to pull an historic comparison out of your ass, at the very least give it an ounce of relevance and coherence. She just liked using the Lincoln example because it ‘sounds’ historic, stately and cool without giving any thought whatsoever to whether or not it has any bearing on the current situation. I wonder what other nonsensical gems she has up her sleeve:

She was pulling figures out of her arse last night. She wants to take more money from the people who may already pay the higest tax to ‘protect’ someone who has been on the dole for 10 years. Yep, that seems fair Mary. Punish those who work to protect those who don’t.
