As much as I fucking despise her, she’s just the figurehead- if it wasn’t her it’d be some other ff gobshite. The real problem is we don’t live in a functioning democracy- it’s only become widely apparent recently the breathtaking extent and depth of incompetence and corruption foisted on the population by the fianna fail criminals, and while being raped with taxes is one thing, mary’s the truly sharp end of the wedge- people are actually dying because of her. She’s nothing less than a murdering cunt with no concept of human decency. And whether it’s by incompetence or ignorance, she’s killing people right now. Yet another scumbag the green party allowed to stay in power- just so they could charge 44c for a plastic bag at the grocery store.

Yup, HM is on the nail.
The government certainly seems to be selling off its own (or rather our) infrastructures in order to reduce its responsibility for the poorer section of society and also to temporarily help balance its own books. It’s Thatcherite garage sale in an already backward nation.

The concept of privatising public infrastructures always reminds me of the story of the Eskimo fisherman out on a cold day in his wooden boat. He lights a fire to stay warm and keeps pulling off bits of the boat to feed the flames. He manages to keep himself slightly more comfortable for a short time, until the boat starts sinking.
I think the moral of the story was: You can’t have your kayak and heat it.

Equal healthcare for all paid for by taxes is the ideal solution. But once something becomes a business it never goes back.

Same will happen with prisons and the even the police. Private speed cameras is the first step in that direction. Next will be traffic cops on the street. And they will be cunts.

I agree entirely regarding the empty catch-phrase ‘Centres Of Excellence’. It’s simply another jumped up piece of hollow terminology used by the hopelessly inefficient to desribe a terminally inadequate and massively overspending quango. That Drumm was allowed airtime and column space to state that this is a world class system is a crime in itself.
