I hate websites with misinformation on them.

Just the other day I was reading a story about Hollywood legend Hunter Dorgenston and they said that his first manager, Archie Ogilvy, was the same bloke who was with that girl Maureen Cahill when the New Orleans sex scandal broke around the time of the assassination of Roger Harminson.

The simple fact of the matter is that it was not Ogilvy but Leon Schriver who was married to Ogilvy’s first wife Doris Edmondson. It was when they divorced in 1969 and Schriver’s indentical twin brother was released from prison that he, the brother, hooked up with Maureen Cahill and it was he who was at the New Orleans scene. The confusion arises because he gave a fake name and Ogilvy was renowned for having multiple aliases because of connections to a Kansas City mob boss with one eye who wanted him dead.

When they discovered the person at the scene did not exist they put two and two together and came up with five. It was only in Dorgenston’s posthumous ghostwritten unofficial auto-biography that the truth came to light because Schriver, having now fallen out with his brother over a property deal which had gone wrong and left eight people dead, confessed everything to authorities.

I mean, everyone knows that, for fucks sake.

I noticed that same thing and wrote a letter to the Times about it. Some people’s lack of common knowledge astounds me.

Wow. Ive never before read something with the word FACTS in it and ended up more confused at the end of it than at the beginning.

Maybe you just had to be there. Or maybe have some clue in the beginning what you were on about.

It was awesome. In a weird kinda way.

Many years ago Liam Nolan presented The Serendipity Show on Radio 1, he regaled his listeners occasionally with useless information, such as this little nugget you just shared with us, it’s just the sort of stuff that could swing the Table Quiz in your local pub.

BTW was Leon related to Arnold Schwartnegger’s wife Maria Schriver ? maybe a third cousin or something, it’d be nice to know if it ever came up in a Pub quiz.

Third cousin twice removed on her mother’s side.
