She’s clearly insane

I saw the story last week about that woman who had octuplets in the USA.

I remember thinking ‘Eight? Eight babies. Good luck with that, lady!’, but paid no more attention to it as other people’s babies are of no interest to me and eight of them are eight times no interest.

Then I was flutering about on the BBC website this morning and it turns out she already has six children. So now she has fourteen children. Did you ever see those programmes on Discovery like ‘Animal Cops: Houston’, where they go to people’s houses and find them in disgusting condition because they can’t cope with having 10 cats, a pony and and emu?

That’s what that woman’s house is going to be like. You’ll open a drawer and find a baby sleeping inside. Want to use the microwave to heat up last night’s gruel? Sorry, little Betty is doing her homework in there – it’s the only place she can get peace and quiet.

The most mental thing though is that this woman was given fertility treatment to help her conceive. That’s not right, surely? IVF for people who have difficultly conceiving and desperately want to have a family is a fantastic thing, but surely somebody, in the build up to all this, should have said ‘You know, you already have six children. I’m not sure IVF is a good idea’.

Now, I’m not an expert on IVF or anything, so I’ll stand to be corrected on this – but don’t they actually implant the embryos? What kind of sick fuck implanted eight embryos in this woman? That’s got to be wrong or illegal. Or if it isn’t it should be. There are a raft of moral and ethical issues here.

The woman is clearly not mentally well. I can understand people wanting a big family but I cannot get my head around a woman who is ‘desperate’ to get pregnant despite already having six children (which were conceived via one sperm donor). Will anyone stop her having more? And if they do she’ll probably just lash out the turkey baster and do it herself. It’s mental.

Six children plus eight babies plus single mother equals mayhem. Well done medical science.

    A quote from someone who helped this ‘lady’ out 3yrs ago with her autistic son;
“She told me that all of her kids were through in vitro, and I said ‘Gosh, how can you afford that and go to school at the same time?‘” she added. “And she said it’s because she got paid for it.”

With most IVF treatments, they implant multiple embryos as several usually fail. In cases where multiple embryos take hold, the woman is offered “selective termination” to reduce the number. This woman was offered it, but refused, even though her doctors recommended that she didn’t carry 7 babies (they missed the 8th) – as multiple pregnancies usually don’t run to term and there’s higher risks associated for both mother and the premature babies.

    1. She’s not the full shillin.
    2. She’s doing it for monetary gain.
    3. She’s shot herself in the foot this time.

  5. Twenty Major says:

I know they usually implant more than one but surely eight is way above the norm?

  6. elly parker says:

Yup, you’re right – in some countries there is an upper implantation limit, but typically, none exists in the US…

There was 13 kids in my family. It was pretty crazy growing up, but at least we were well spread out. Imagine 8 the same age. Mad Bitch

  8. Fill3rup says:

I did read that the reason she went for IVF was because she wanted a daughter..

She ended up with a Girl Band with 2 subs..

  9. Feynmans Ghost says:

Clearly she did it for the money … all those interviews etc …im sure the clinic were in on it as well to get a cut of the “first story” rights

  10. Woesinger says:

Eight is above the norm in such a young woman. The younger you are, the more likely that the embryos will take.

Even allowing this lady to have IVF is against the code of practice for this kind of thing in the States. From what I’ve heard there’s a lot of shit rolling the way of which ever doctor and clinic performed the procedure.

    Imagine they were all conjoined.

  12. Twenty Major says:

haha, that’d be awesome. They’d be like an accordion or something.

Or one of those paper cut-outs with loads of kids holding hands.

  13. To top it off, she’s single and lives with her parents. I’m appalled.

  14. Fill3rup says:

Wel i dont think the apple feel far from the tree there..
I doubt the smug cunts from mensa will be popping by anytime soon..

It seems like when you read these stories from the news, that there is a competition in the US to be the biggest fucking moron..
Competition gets fiercer and fiercer as the years go on …

I wonder what the prize is?

  15. I wonder what the prize is?

    Presidency.

  16. Fill3rup says:

    I thought that,but it cant be now…

  17. Holemaster says:

I’m imaging all sorts of scenarios in my head for these eightlets. Skyscraper bunk beds, eight teenagers all at the same time, chicken pox, at least two if not three addicts, early death or two, fights over who came out first and a life long hang up for the eighth one they didn’t know was there…. “Wait for me” “Oh sorry, we didn’t know you were there, heh heh heh”

  18. 8 is way more than they usually put back, even in older women. Somebody at the clinic she went to made a cynical, reckless and potentially dangerous decision.

8! The woman is going to start to evolve nipples all up and down her torso. I feel sorry for the parents who are going to have to care for all these nippers. And the other 6 children. Who’s got time for them now?

  19. Yippee says:

The complete lack of sense and responsibility reminds me of how plastic surgery is practised in the US, which is if you can pay, they’ll do anything you want.

And this is the country who claim to be “the leaders of the free world”!

No, thanks, we Europeans are better off on our own!

  20. Holemaster says:

Nipples evolving, ugh does that happen? ….. it does doesn’t it.

  21. Conan Drumm says:

    What, no octo-pussy jokes?

  22. Conan Drumm says:

She was only in it for a few squid…

  23. Twenty Major says:

And they fell for it … suckers.

  24. Fintan says:

The religious fundamentalist Evangelical right wing zealots were coming off with delight at this latest absurd bit of “pro-lifery” until the cunts found out she is most likely a Muslim.

  25. “She was only in it for a few squid…”

I bet her folks didn’t have an inkling about what she was doing. Now, course, they have 8 more inklings.

  26. Twenty Major says:

Would ‘inklings’ be a brilliant collective noun for baby squid?

  27. 10 PARK DRIVE says:

Let’s see Nadya Suleman. Sounds Turkish to me. Eurasian Yippee. She lives with her parents and now 14 kids although she blames her dysfunctional childhood for her desire to have a female rugby team. In the past 6 years she has received over $165000 in state disability for a back injury she claimed while working a mental hospital. Giving birth to 14 kids with a back disability is an unusual form of chiropractic treatment.

  28. She’s a ‘college student’ with no employment, having just filed bankruptcy.
I heard the Kaiser insurance that paid for all this was one that was State sponsered (eg. taxpayer funded). Care for premature babies runs about $3000 to $5000 per day, depending on the severity of the child; a 1 Kg baby can stay in hospital for about three months, until acceptable discharge weight, eg. As well as the need for follow up neurodevelopment care that will be required…..hmm, do the math. Sad for the kiddies, and the taxpayers.

She just hired a publicist, and is looking for about 2 million $ for ‘her story’.

…’she was only in it for a few squid’….haha!

  29. She must have a gee like the fucking batcave

  30. Blazing says:

She must have a gee like the fucking batcave

Surely it will stretch though, won’t it?

Great to have you back Blazing. Sorry it has taken me a while…
