Should'nt we as the fibre of society be legislating their existance; after all is it not just the moral ground that we respect which makes leads us to resist such fundemental changes? Yes there is the oppurtunity of apathy certainly not to be missed, and should be seized upon, and this will be the political cataclysm generating a new freedom. I can give a stirring example. You could argue that both the US and UK have recently ended up in wars because of the need to feed their 'defence' industries and a desire to grab cheap resources. Russia, on the other hand has lots of resources and the government their certainly runs the show. 3 oligarchs have tried to break the Putin deal by interfering in Russian politics- two are dead and one is in jail. As a nation we have become complacent and uncaring about whats happening around us. Politicians give us our own money back and think we owe them a vote, because thats essentially all they want period. All very easy to do when billions are pouring in. Now the cattle are roaring and there is not enough to give them. Going to be fun the next time they look for votes. More to the point.

Democracy is undermined by the free market economy which is international and undermines local concerns. We are not governed by democracy, we governed by international business who pressure national governments to amend their trade laws so they can trade easier. What will eventually happen is that most countries will end up with the same laws, the same kind of media, the same kind of educational systems. There will be less scope for independent or alternative social systems to exist legally. Anyone who speaks out will be considered a radical or a terrorist. Those who choose not to consume and play the game will be sidelined and not supported in any way. Our governments will merely end up being the shop keepers and security guards for large corporations and all government services including the Police and Emergency services will be privatised.
