What’s a blog?

John Waters I think; but his hair is silly too.
April 2nd, 2008 at 2:26 pm
2
No, read carefully, he is prepared ‘to re-sign’ some lucrative contract or whatever no doubt
April 2nd, 2008 at 2:28 pm
3
Twenty, I’m shocked at such a short post!
Go on. Rant and rave! Get it all out.
The head of government stepping down doesn’t happen every day.

Here’s one for you - the hot chocolate from Butler’s Chocolate is just too bland. And like, they’re a chocolate shop! Don’t try to stop me, I’m just going to go right ahead and say that.
The hot chocolate from West Coast is much tastier - and that’s a coffee shop! Someone get the irony-ometer and an official steward, I think this might be a record.
These were the thoughts that struck me as I cycled passed the Dail on Kildare Street, which, by the way, is busier than Katy’s French’s nose after the ’start taking cocaine now!’ hooter sounds.

I’m sending a rather large ‘thank-you’ card to Grainne Carruth right now…
April 2nd, 2008 at 2:57 pm
6
For fucksakes everybody knows the reason he resigned was to protect the people. He even said it himself, and sure he’s never lied - not even once.
If you believe Wille O’Dea that is, and I for one can’t trust someone who looks like a cheap joke shop product.

I agree with Chanchan. We can’t become complacent.
Anybody got any dirt on ol’ rubber lips?
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:12 pm
8
Cowen is sqeaky clean
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:20 pm
9
I do. His lips are old and made from rubber.
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:20 pm
10
His brother is a tax evader too.
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:20 pm
11
What about that story during the week about Biffo’s brother and tax evasion?
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:21 pm
12
Does it really matter a fuck? The sly little shite will retire on a bundle while the rest of us get fucked by the upcoming recession. And after that some other scheming cunt will take over. Etc etc
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:26 pm
13
Maybe some more resource teachers or hospital beds will be on the cards now that his fucking make-up bill is finished. See what one of Bertie’s mates thinks:

April 2nd, 2008 at 3:36 pm
14
Not really, Shane, coz imagine what Biffo’s make-up bill will be like, just so he can appear on TV without frightening small children
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:45 pm
15
I see EK is calling for an election . You see Enda thats the kinda shitehawkery that gets the other cunts elected.
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:51 pm
16
Bertie’s goons are blaming sections of the media so I’d imagine that was a direct reference to Twenty and the rest of us.
Twenty is no doubt in the Shelbourne with the rest of the Fourth Estate guffawing away and quaffing G&T with Dunphy and co. and posted this blog from his mobile while on the jacks.

From The Irish Times Breaking news:
Flanked by cabinet colleagues including Brian Cowen, Mary Harney, Martin Cullen, Noel Dempsey, Brian Lenihan, Mary Harney and John Gormley, Mr Ahern said a “constant barrage of commentary” was distracting the work of Government.
So big they named her twice …
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:54 pm

Voting is bollocks. I voted for everyone but FF and they still got in. Fuck elections, it’s a mug’s game.
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:55 pm
19
anyone pissed off with our stupid interpretation of democracy. no way any government can stay in power without corruption. take worldwide examples of longserving corrupt parties, KMT (Taiwan), ZANUPF (Zimbabwe).. When can we wake up and smell the cow shite??
April 2nd, 2008 at 3:59 pm
20
Ah but we’ll still have a few weeks of homage to Bertie, televised tributes and talking heads saying ‘ah-sure-he-wasn’t-such-a-bad-sort’, ‘look-what-he-accomplished-for-the-country’, ‘he-was-a-grand-statesman-really’, ‘sure-we’ll-miss-him-when-he’s-gone’, and other such bollocksy, bollocksy, tittywank and blather.
So don’t unclench your fists quite yet.
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:02 pm

In the words (more of less) of the Bay City Rollers…’Bye Bye Bertie, Bertie Goodbye’.
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:11 pm
22
It just shows what a fucked up country this is that people are sympathetic to the plight of this c*unt!
they just can’t see the Bertie and Co are laughing up their sleeves while the rest of us piss away our lives sitting in traffic or lying on hospital trolleys hoping we get to see a doctor.

And now we get Cowen standing beside people like Sarkozy..in public…representing the nation wha’? Jaaaaysus.
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:27 pm
25
In reference to comment number 8, believe it or not but Willie O’Dea was the proprietor of a joke shop in Limerick City back in the 1970s. Where do you think he got the specs & tash combo?
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:29 pm
26
I think Bertie did a good enough job in fairness. I think we need to set standards of behaviour and stick to them but I dont subscribe to this “politicians should be denied all executive priviliges” type of lefty bullshit.
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:38 pm
27
Twenty drinks with Dunphy? What a fucking cunt!
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:40 pm
28
You’re right, Dunphy is a cunt.
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:41 pm
29
i’m going to kick the shite out of bertie
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
30
thinks he got away with it all? nothing doing
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:46 pm
31
If he’s shown to have been a bad, bad, boy can they remove his pension ? They would do it like a shot to a (junior) copper or a (junior) civil servant.
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:02 pm
32
Once the fucker has to pay his own legal bills - that’ll kill him.
Bertie is a notorious penny pincher

Irish Election » It was the net wat done it* says:
[...] *it wasn’t really. Nor the entire media for that matter. It has been de rigeur for defenders of an Taoiseach in recent times to present the media as the enemy here. If it were not for them this would not be an issue, Ahern and his Ministers would continue to govern in their efficient inimitable fashion and focussing on an economy hitting the skids. [...]
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:37 pm
36
So where will his shady corporate digs open?
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:57 pm
37
I just hope Bertie doesn’t get the European Commission job to line his dirty wank stained pockets more, sure how many pensions will he be on after that? The filthy little stammering wanker.

Who cares anyway. The football is on tonight.
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:59 pm

The legal bills will bankrupt Bertie unless of course he did a deal with the new Taoiseach where the new Taoiseach would ensure that the state paid his legal bills. Imagine if that happened. I think the Mahon tribunal will now go bald headed for him.
April 2nd, 2008 at 6:01 pm
40
A great man has been forced out may you all enjoy his replacement
April 2nd, 2008 at 6:05 pm

Must do a post about United’s double…….
April 2nd, 2008 at 6:15 pm
43
Bertie must think we are all total cunts.During his half arsed speech he claimed he never abused his position and never acted dishonestly. Its not the Mahon tribunal you should be facing its a fucking judge and jury and then a firing squad. But dont worry man there is plenty of jobs out there for a man of your calibre.Hey if you put some boot polish on your face, spend a few hours licking Mary Harney’s arse out i hear the ZANUPF are lookin for a new leader,or maybe Ryanair are seeling a new PR manager,or even closer to home i see the Romanian tramp with the gimpy legs got knocked down at Newlands cross today so grab yourself a paper cup and get your arse down there, you can take all the cash people will give you and you wont have to explain a cent of it.
Happy days

You can bet something was rigged up - and Berte has form in that respect - remember how he protected the Church ?

Peadar, Cowen is a high ranking fianna fail member.
i seriously doubt that he is sqeaky clean.

April 2nd, 2008 at 7:01 pm
49
There was a culture of corruption in Fianna Fail for years, anyone senior in the party was definitly exposed to it.
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:03 pm
50
rte & sky
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:03 pm
51
But things were different back then.
It was a different era.
Bertie done nothing wrong either. It all pre-dates the ethics regulations (or whatever there called) that were established.
Fuck it I’m not getting into this again.
I’m going to watch the football.
Good evening ye shower of cunts.
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:09 pm
52
Yes, but, most blogs in Ireland were anti-FF pre election yet they got voted in, so most blogs/bloggers clearly don’t reflect the views of the Irish majority..no?
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:22 pm
53
jaysus…ye’d swear he was dead watching de rte
“it was my money”
suzy byrne? did you play tennis in sutton?
eoghan harris has power…fucking hell
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:26 pm
54
The Irish Majority are stupid cunts - they were seduced by wealth.
Were things different back then? FF stated off as thugs who bought and bribed the Irish Electorate, De Valera lined his own pockets - so Dev, Haughey and Ahern - crooks.
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:28 pm
55
Are you dancing a jig? That’s what I want to know.
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:31 pm
56
jig and pogo too
this is the man who…jaysus…here I go again -
-signed books of blank cheques while treasurer of FF
- appointed Liam Lawlor as Chairman of the Dáil Ethics Committee
- called Ray Burke an “honourable decent man” - HA! - and gave him two ministerships to boot!
we could go on and on. he looked pissed drunk during that Dobson Billie Barry type performance.
fuck ‘im.
April 2nd, 2008 at 7:53 pm
57
we cant let cowen get power! he’s moved so many midlands things to f*cking offaly, i dont want to see that dump made capital of the country.
April 2nd, 2008 at 9:57 pm
58
I can assure everyone that Biffo is NOT sqeaky clean and that is a fact. If he only knew what I know or that I know about it, I doubt rubber lips would even challenge me on it. I want to sing like a fuckin canary but I’m going to wait until the time is right so I can decapitate more of the FF cunts. Remember, you heard it here first.
April 2nd, 2008 at 10:33 pm
59
…can you start a “Hunt down and Kill Simon Cowell” thread soon….
April 2nd, 2008 at 11:00 pm

63
Puerile, how did you do that??
April 3rd, 2008 at 2:48 am
64
Christ almighty. The only thing worse than the rain in this country is the shower of moaning wankers beneath it. If someone offered me a wheelbarrow full of cash to open a shopping centre on a graveyard, I’d tear the pen out of their hand to sign that document!
Bertie was a bit dodgy a decade ago, granted, but the man should be judged on his merits. FF have done a good job overall. The country was ranked the most desireable place to live in the world by the Economist last year. Tax, civil liberties, pollution, crime, unemployment, transport etc. etc. Ireland came out on top. That’s no accident. And don’t start talking about healthcare. Three letters for you, V.H.I.!
Fairwell Bertie. I hope you run out your clock in excessive oppulence. The rest of you should be ashammed. Maybe if you were smarter and worked harder in school, life wouldn’t be so tough!
April 3rd, 2008 at 4:48 pm
65
Oh yeah, its ok to be bad if you are good at the same time. Fuck off mate.
April 3rd, 2008 at 7:03 pm
66
A couple of late ramblings.
First up, it doesn’t matter when you commited murder, you did it and if you are cought 20 years later you should still go down for it.
Secondly, My final straw for Bertie wasn’t the tax dodginess or the kickbacks, hell we all knew, it would be nice though if he is strung upo for it. FFS that whole era of FF was like fu€king Goodfellas. Gangsters, voted in by ar$eholes and pensioners.
No what got me was the way that pr1ck stood up at CJ’s funeral and brazenly spouted words like ‘Irish Patriot’ about the biggest crook this side of the law.
Fcuk him forever. Gormless cnut.
(My works swear filter means I have to type in sh1t like this, sorry!)
