The disorder of the Phoenix

I’m Richard Delevan.

I’m Richard Delevan.

No, I’m Richard Delevan.

It’s sort of like Spartacus but without the intense homo-eroticism. Ok, with the homo-eroticism but without the loin cloths.

They seem to think it was Tricky Dicky that wrote this. Now, I know the old man with the beard and Richard Delevan are pretty similar looking but that’s some pretty shoddy work there, Phoenix.

Let me the first, of no doubt many, to say that in fact…

    I’m Richard Delevan.

Just wanted to clear that up…

I’ve always believed that men who grow the type of facial hair that Richard Delevan manifests in his photo are consciously or subconsciously trying to emulate a gee.

I was in Belfast once when I still had a beard and got a lot of Gerry Adam-themed grief off what I can only assume were bolshy Prods. It was explained to me that the Proddy beard of choice (think of Michael Stone) is known as the ‘cunt beard’.

On the subject of being outed, someone once wondered if I was a writer with kids called ‘georgia’ and ‘sam’. Certainly not. My kids are called ‘Child Support Agency doesn’t know where I live’ and ‘Where’s the DNA proof’.

That better not be you Twenty, I heard rumours you are quite a catch. I’ll be sorely disappointed.

twenty – I’ve been buying the phoenix for years – it’s a good mag that gets behind the nonsense that most people think is the truth (i.e. for most people take that as readers of the sunday independent)

e.g. when Jody Corcoran has a headline last month stating – “Now is the time to buy property” – you have to say to yourself “Is that the same Jody Corcoran with a Masters in Economics from Harvard?” or is that the same Jody who libels on average 10 people a year and costs his employer a fortune?

    end of rant

p.s. look at the story beside it on that builder guy gallagher; sorry dunne

    Dunne; Gallagher?

    Deja Vú?

    20,
I think the phoenix just got his wires crossed – I don’t think he intended to say that you were RD.

when Jody Corcoran has a headline last month stating – “Now is the time to buy property”…

Sorry, I never wrote this. Does this constitute a libel of me?
