NTL broadband and blogspot blogs
Posted in Blog by Twenty Major on February 28th, 2007
Is anyone else using NTL broadband finding all blogspot.com blogs unreachable?
Update: Still unreachable. Even the RSS feeds aren’t working. Useless cunts.

Someone on blogspot.com must have posted something naughty about NTL.
Sorry. Conspiracy theorist, that’s me.

Yep. Had similar issues with NTL not being able to get me to some sites last year. Their DNS was banjaxed.
Suggest you ring them up and complain like fuck. You’ll first get the monkey with the Beginners Guide to Technical Support script but persevere until you get someone that knows what they’re doing.

Yep, blogspot blogs have been down for a couple of days now. NTL are claiming it’s nothing to do with them. The same thing happened about six months ago, clueless fuckwits.
Their customer service email is customer.support@upc.ie if you want to bombard them with abuse. Don’t bother ringing up, it invites only gnashing of teeth and tears of rage.

If it’s any consolation, it wasn’t just Dublin or NTL & Swearing Lady - if you get a Branica hit counter it might go down, but it(the info) will pop back up again. So that’s my community service announcement for the day.

Yeah, same here - haven’t been able to access any blogspot blogs for the last two days. Definitely an NTL problem as I can access them from a different web connection on the same computer. Still waiting on a reply from NTL about it.

Yeah, haven’t been able to get any blogspot sites through NTL for the past couple of days. It’s extremely crap.

Same problem. Only way I can view my site is by sneaking in using ninjaproxy.com. Otherwise, NTL seems to be allowing me to log into the Admin end of my Blogger site no bother. It is still possible to post, but without a proxy the result of the post can’t be seen. Email sent to the happy chappies of NTL and a whinge left on the Blogger help group for good measure.

By “only way” I mean “only way on this PC”. Works on other PCs using different ISPs.

Write to Alan Briggs. It won’t help - my friend bought their broadband package and has been offline for seven months.
Before that she had BT, whose connection failed. Guess what? BT only accept cancellations and customer comments via email - otherwise they go on debiting your a/c. So she switched - to ntl. Much safer. No service, no bills! Sure what more could you want!

Just wanted to let you all know that today 3 Mobile Ireland launches its 3 pay (pre pay) broadband. 3 Sell the broadband modem for 149 Euro and Carphone warehouse.ie are selling the same modem for 179 Euro an extra 30 Euro. I think that charging an extra 30 Euro for the exact same modem is complete robbery.
Can we send this message to as many as possible so they dont get caught out by paying an extra 30 euro for the same product!!
